German Chocolate Cake Cookies






German Chocolate Cake Cookie Recipe
Prep Time: 20 min. | Cook Time: 10 min. | Yield: 2 dozen cookies


INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 sticks butter, softened 
  • 1 cup brown sugar 
  • 1 cup granulated sugar 
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 
  • 2 eggs, beaten 
  • 2 1/4 cups flour 
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt 
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup shredded sweetened coconut 
  • 1 cup pecans 


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper. 
  2. In a stand mixer, mix the butter, brown sugar granulated sugar, vanilla and eggs until well combined. 
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. 
  4. Add the flour mixture to the butter/sugar mixture and mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips, coconut and pecans.  
  5. Scoop the dough out onto the baking sheets and bake for 10 minutes. Cool on a baking rack.
